Hi, I appreciate you coming to take a look at an idea I have had on my mind for many years… way before Electric Vehicles became mainstreamed.  My ideas come to me by thinking how can I make things in life simpler.  On that note, The Electric Vehicle Automatic Charging Station (EVACS) now has an even simpler design that reduces the length of the adjustable tracks by 85% and implements technology similar to the camera used on SUVs to line up the ball hitch to the receiver while backing up.  Self parking technology is also a viable option. I am looking for investors to build a prototype and/or make a licensing arrangement.  Below are the things I considered while developing the EVACS for marketing purposes.

Purpose & Benefits

Provides electric vehicle owners with a safe, convenient, no-touch charging system which prevents the owner from having to manually plug and unplug their electric vehicles.

Includes a self-standing or wall-mounted multi-volt charging unit installed on an adjustable track system to accommodate any make or model of vehicle, vehicle wheelbases, and vehicle tire widths.

Offers a single, adjustable weatherproof charging receptacle attached to the charging station that can be fitted and connected to any make or model of electric vehicle.

Utilizes a simple spring-loaded, weatherproof plastic cover to protect the system, automatically opening and closing when a vehicle is driving on and off the adjustable tire guides.

Features an LED monitor with a camera or mirrors affixed to the charger that helps guide the driver onto the docking station at the correct angle while also offering a way for self-parking technology that is already integrated in electric vehicle to also be used for this purpose.

Alleviates any difficulty associated with using standard handheld chargers, allowing the vehicle operator to remain inside the vehicle while it is charging or allowing them to simply park and walk away during charging. This is particularly helpful for drivers with limited mobility.

Includes a software application that can notify a vehicle owner when the vehicle is fully charged.

Offers an added safety feature that will alleviate the need to leave the safety of the vehicle while also preventing hands and clothing from becoming dirty.

Functions as a perfect charging system for private garages, fleet vehicle garages, or public charging spaces with a commercial e-pay software application.

Problems Solved

Standard, current methods of charging an electric vehicle require using a handheld charger receptacle. Plugging and unplugging the vehicle into the receptacle can be frustrating and time-consuming. Typically, it is much faster to pump gasoline than wait for an electric vehicle to charge; however, people may desire to be more environmentally conscious when it comes to their vehicle purchases. Electric vehicle owners will enjoy the benefits of being environmentally conscious while also reaping the rewards of extra personal safety measures and the conveniences provided by this hands-free system.

Detailed Description & Features

Electric Vehicle Automatic Charging Station is an automated charging system for electric vehicles that can be installed in a private garage, fleet vehicle garages, and any outdoor level space due to its weatherproof design. The system is comprised of a floor-mounted docking station with scissor-adjusting means to accommodate different makes and models of vehicles. People can utilize the safe, convenient, and no-touch charging ability to prevent from having to manually plug and unplug an electric vehicle charger.

The system can be self-standing, or wall mounted, with a multi-volt charger to accompany the adjustable track for all wheel bases and tire widths.

Each station is equipped with an electrical charging dock connected to the wall-mounted or self-standing multi-voltage charging unit to accommodate various levels of fast charging. The receptacle is housed between the tire guides, protected via spring-loaded and weatherproof plastic covers that automatically open and close when a vehicle is driven on and off the tire guides.

Users can adjust the height of the charging receptacle between the wheel tracks to accommodate different styled vehicles and clearances. New model automobiles may integrate the charging receptacle into the bumper and spoiler styling. Users can drive their vehicle onto the system and connect it to the charging system for quick and efficient charging. Vehicle status can be viewed on an independent charging box with an information display. Self-parking technology can also be accommodated via the system.

The entire system can function as a “park and walk away” design which allows owners the maximum convenience of driving onto a charging station and then walking away while the charging station charges the vehicle for them. There is an indicator light that will activate to indicate the connection was successfully made so they are free to walk away and let the vehicle charge. A paired software application will notify the user the status of the vehicle charge and time to full charge. The charger will automatically stop charging at full charge level.

The charging unit offers additional safety consideration for users, ensuring they do not have to get out of their vehicle to accommodate for personal safety. Electric vehicle owners will never have to stand outside during inclement weather to charge their vehicles with clunky, inconvenient handheld chargers, effectively keeping owners dry and safe. Again, this is particularly beneficial for those with limited mobility and also convenient for families with small children who may need to be carried. Basically, it alleviates all the extra steps of charging and creates a handsfree environment so the driver can take care of other important things. The charging receptacle for the vehicle can also be retrofitted to existing electric vehicles and can be built into the bumper and styling of future vehicles.

Electric Vehicle Automatic Charging Station can be adapted to many other types of electric vehicles beside automobiles. The station can be also utilized for commercial fleet trucks (all sizes), recreational vehicles, 4 X 4’s, golf carts, and much more due to its flexibility of design.
